Rules and Regulations

  • Membership is $4.00 per person.
  • All entry forms for exhibits in the Hall must be made to the Secretary on or before five (5) days prior to the fair.
  • No exhibitor may make more than one entry in any class except for Livestock and Poultry.
  • The decision of the Judges shall in all cases will be final, except when a rule of the Society has been violated.
  • Rule interpretation will be up to the discretion of three (3) Directors.
  • Membership cards allows the member entry to the fair on Labour Day Monday only.
  • From the sum or sums awarded to any member as a prize or premium, it shall be lawful for and the duty of the Secretary/Treasurer to retain $4.00 as the membership fee for the ensuing year.
  • Any person entering an article or animal contrary to the rules of the Society shall forfeit any prize he/she may be otherwise entitled to.
  • This Society will be responsible for payment of prize moneys only to the extent that the revenues of the Society will permit.
  • A protest must be in writing and be in the hands of the Secretary within 24 hours after the Fair.  It must state plainly the cause of the complaint or appeal and must be accompanied by a deposit of $5.00. The deposit will be forfeited to the Society if the protest is not sustained. 
  • Prize money will be presented at Awards Night.  If you are unable to attend Awards Night and your winnings are over $20.00, they will be forwarded to you by mail.  For persons with winnings lower than $20.00, you will be informed of an alternate place to pick up your winnings.  All winnings must be picked up by December 31 of the current year.  If they are not picked up the money will be relinquished to the Armour, Ryerson & Burk’s Falls Agricultural Society.  
  • All exhibits to be delivered to the Hall between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.  Doors close at 11:00 a.m. SHARP.
  • Entries MUST be tagged and ready.
  • Only one entry per section.
  • Each entry must be the work of the Exhibitor.
  • No article may be shown for more than two (2) years.
  • Exhibitors will NOT be allowed in the Hall to place their exhibits.  Exhibitors will hand in their exhibits at the door with all entry tags properly attached. An attendant appointed by the Directors will have entire charge of placing exhibits.
  • Manufactured articles must be the manufacture and property of the exhibitor.
  • Any Article or Exhibit in the Hall competing for a Special Prize is not to compete for a Society prize.
  • A Director shall have the authority to discard old or soiled work.
  • The Directors will take every reasonable precaution to ensure the safety of articles sent to the exhibition, but the owners themselves must take the risk of exhibiting them. Should any article be accidentally injured or lost, the Director will give all the assistance in their power towards the recovery of the same. It is distinctly understood that they will make no payment for any article injured/damaged or lost.
  • Entries will NOT be removed until 4:30 p.m. Monday.
